 Canonsburg General Hospital was built as a result of an outpouring of financial support from our community. The community’s involvement has allowed the hospital to continue its more than 100-year tradition of providing high-quality, low-cost care with linkages to the latest medical research and advanced technology. In 2006, Canonsburg General Hospital opened a state-of-the-art Emergency Department to meet the growing needs of our community. This $7.35 million dollar project tripled the size of the department to increase the number of examination rooms, incorporated critical assessment technology, and improved patient flow from triage to treatment and eventual discharge.
In 2007, Canonsburg General Hospital became the southern port for LifeFlight, enabling the most critically injured patients access to a level one trauma center - 15 minutes faster than by other transportation. This linkage provides the immediacy of care for you, or perhaps a family members, when you need it most. No other hospital in the area can provide this unprecedented access.
We are continually expanding and growing our 32-acre campus to include new imaging technologies, orthopedic treatment suites and ambulatory services.
